Aulas continue son marché chez ses concurrents. Le Camerounais Jean II Makoun, milieu de terrain défensif de Lille, serait ainsi sur le point de s´engager avec Lyon annonce Le Parisien. Les dirigeants lyonnais ont démenti, mais il semblerait que l´indemnité de transfert a déjà été fixée entre les deux clubs. Elle s´élèverait à à 13 millions d´euros pour un contrat de cinq ans. A ce prix là, Makoun ne se contenterait pas d´être une simple doublure de Mahamadou Diarra. Cette venue de Makoun confirmerait donc l´hypothèse d´un départ du Malien, probablement vers Manchester United ou le Real Madrid.

Eric: United will topple Blues

Former Manchester United great Eric Cantona has backed his old club to come good once more and prise away Chelsea´s stranglehold on the Premiership title.

The Blues´ captures of Michael Ballack and Andrei Shevchenko have been an ominous reminder of the challenge facing United if they are to overhaul the two-time Premiership champions.

However, Cantona is of the opinion that Sir Alex Ferguson´s philosophy of team-building, in time, will win out over Chelsea´s transfer policy of ´cherry-picking´.

"I´m sure United will come good," said Cantona, who won four titles during an illustrious four-and-a-half year Old Trafford career.

"They are building a team for the future whereas Chelsea are building a team for today and maybe the next one or two years.

"Year after year they will buy player after player after player and sometimes it will work and sometimes it won´t.

"I think you are stronger when you build a team or a generation of players who can play together for 10 years.

"That´s why I believe United will win more championships than Chelsea in the next ten years, I´m sure of that."

Despite having reservations over Jose Mourinho´s recruitment policy, the Frenchman is a firm advocate of the Portuguese´s coaching talent.

And Cantona has drawn parallels between the single-minded approach of Mourinho with that of Ferguson.

"They are both winners and psychologically very strong," Cantona told United magazine.

"That is very important in terms of the influence they have on their players and the way in which they deal with the press and the provocation from the press.

"They are both very good at knowing what to say, when to say it and why they need to say it.

"That can be very important, perhaps even as important as the way their teams play because when they say things the media attention is on them and not the players, so the players can play without pressure."

On a parlé d´une rumeur selon laquelle Cristiano voulait signer au Real, démenti. Pas étonnant quand on voit que les différents candidats rivalisent de mensonges (certains annoncent Adriano, d´autres Robben, etc).

Moi je pense que toutes les rumeurs qu´on entend sur Ronaldo depuis le debut de la coupe du monde sont fausses.
Les joueurs ont pas le droit de regler leur transfert et donc de discuter avec des presidents potentiel du Real.
On sait que chaque president fait des promesse d´achat. Je sens bien le coup qu´un president a dit qu´il acheterait Ronaldo s´il etait élu, bien sur repris et gonfle par footmercato and co pour finalement atterir sur l´equipe.
Je me fais pas de souci concernant Ronaldo tant qu´un parole n´est pas sortie de sa bouche

En plus je me souviens avoir lu une interview de lui avant la coupe du monde ou il reaffirmait son envie de rester à MU.

Ferguson dismisses Ronaldo report

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson remains relaxed over rumours about Cristiano Ronaldo´s future.

Real Madrid presidential candidate Juan Miguel Villar Mir has claimed he will sign the 21-year-old winger if he wins the club´s election on Sunday.

But Ferguson told MUTV: "There isn´t a problem with the boy and I don´t expect any problems.

"When people have been involved in a bid to become president at Madrid they have used clubs like ours."

He added: "The candidates talk about what they are going to do for Madrid and how they will bring in big players.

"They have promised to buy about half-a-dozen players over the last few weeks, including Ronaldo and Fernando Torres from Atletico Madrid.

"I´ve experienced it time and time again in the past. It is just talk to try to encourage people to vote for them."

But United have denied any contact with anyone in Madrid over the player, issuing a club statement: "Manchester United are astonished with Juan Miguel Villar Mir´s comments."

Pique not keen on Spain return

Gerard Pique insists he does not want to return to Spain for a season on loan at Real Zaragoza.

The Manchester United teenager has been linked with a temporary switch home to build up his first-team experience.

Pique made just seven senior appearances for United last season, but is tipped for a bright future at Old Trafford.

However, Zaragoza had expressed an interest in signing the 19-year-old on a season-long loan to help with his progress.

United are well-stocked in the defensive department and it was thought a loan arrangement could be beneficial to both clubs.

Former Barcelona youngster Pique, though, is happy in England and has no plans to join Zaragoza, or another Spanish club, on loan.

"I want to continue in England," Pique told Sport.

"I do not think about changing my situation. I am very well there.

"Why would you want to change when you are well?"

Riquelme confirms United offer

Argentina playmaker Juan Roman Riquelme has confirmed that Manchester United have made a sizeable bid for his services.

The classy Villarreal star is also believed to be a target for Internazionale but made the revelation from his country´s training camp ahead of their World Cup quarter final with hosts Germany.

Riquelme starred in Villarreal´s march to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, including emerging from United´s group, before missing a crucial last minute penalty that would have secured extra time against Arsenal.

The South American has been one of the star performers in Germany this summer and is rated as one of the best midfielders on the planet.

"My future is to think about Friday´s game and to enjoy the World Cup," he told Radio La Red.

"Later, with Villarreal, I am very comfortable. If the club decides they are going to sell me, I will have to think what do about my future but that depends on my club.

"Inter? I am happy they can have an interest but, today, I am in a city where they give me great affection and where I have gained the respect of European football. That is very important for me.

"The club is growing. As far as offers are concerned, I know that Manchester have offered I don´t know how many millions but Villarreal said that I was not for sale."

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is determined to sign a new midfielder and is primed to make his moves in the transfer market.

Je vois vraiment pas l´interet de prendre ce joueur, il est pas defensif et niveau physique c´est pas ça. J´ai du mal à croire qu´il sera une grande réussite en angleterre.

Je trouve qu´il s´est debrouillé contre des allemands qui sont tres physique.
Pour moi c´est pas uen priorite de recrutement vu qu´on a deja Scholes mais s´il venait je cracherais pas du tout dessus.
