Chacun sa façon de jouer. Liverpool comme Bordeaux pratique un jeu trés faible mais s´assure ses points gràce à sa défense. Quand on ne peut faire autrement, je ne vois pas ce qui géne.

Bon sinon concernant Gerrard, si tu veux te passer du meilleur joueur au monde à son poste (et encore peut être que le "à son poste" est de trop) , c´est ton choix mais à Mu on n´a pas un seul milieu qui arrive à la cheville de Gerrard.

liverpool ne peut pas faire autrement avec les joueurs qu´ils ont en attaque:kewell, Luis garcia, morientes...c´est l´entraineur qui oblige son equipe a defendre
je suis d´accord pour le faire qd ta pas les moyens mais c´est liverpool qd meme...

Foot -ANG -MU - Smith opéré mais privé de Mondial

Victime d´une fracture de la jambe face à Liverpool en huitièmes de finale de la Cup, samedi, Alan Smith, le jeune milieu de Manchester United, a été opéré avec succès mais son absence des terrains pourrait approcher les 12 mois. Autant dire que l´international de 25 ans et 16 sélections manquera le Mondial en Allemagne qui débute le 9 juin prochain.

Smith était entré en jeu à la 76e minute en remplacement de l´Ecossais Darren Fletcher. Sa jambe s´est dérobée sous lui alors qu´il tentait de contrer une frappe du Norvégien John Arne Riise. Alex Ferguson a expliqué qu´il s´agissait « d´une des pires » blessures qu´il lui ait été donné de voir.

Le milieu de terrain international de Manchester United Alan Smith a été opéré avec succès dimanche d’une fracture de la jambe gauche. Smith s’est également démis la cheville gauche.

L’opération de Alan Smith dimanche s’est bien passée. Le milieu de terrain international de Manchester United s’était fracturé la jambe gauche et démis la cheville gauche samedi en Cup face à Liverpool. Smith, qui devrait être indisponible durant presque un an, sera plâtré dans un premier temps durant plusieurs semaines avant d’entamer une longue rééducation.

Heinze to make early return

Manchester United defender Gabriel Heinze could be back in full training next month, according to Argentina´s team doctor.

The Red Devils star sustained knee ligament damage in September against Villarreal and manager Sir Alex Ferguson has already admitted that he cannot see him being fit for the World Cup finals in June - let alone the remainder of this season.

However, Argentine medic Dr Donato Villani feels that Heinze will be back amongst United´s first team this time next month.

"In a month, Gabriel will be able to join his squad," Villani told Ole.

"He can then train on a par with his team-mates.

"This does not mean that he is going to play.

"At that moment it will be evaluated as to whether it is or not he can try and play."

Heinze himself conceded late last year that he would struggle to make the finals - but should Villani be right, then he could have every chance of claiming his spot in the Argentinian squad.

Buck eyes Mikel and Adu

Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck has confirmed the Premiership champions are waiting in the wings to sign John Obi Mikel.

The talented Nigerian signed for Manchester United last year but has since stated that he wants to switch from Lyn Oslo to Stamford Bridge instead.

After enhancing his growing reputation in the African Cup of Nations, the midfielder will be the subject of more legal wrangling before having his footballing future finalised.

"The situation is fluid at the moment," Buck told Sky Sports News. "There is a lawsuit pending in Norway that we are not party to.

"There is a Fifa investigation which is in abeyance, pending what happens in Norway.

"I would say, if the boy becomes available, he´s someone we´re very interested in and someone we´d like to talk to."

Mikel has revealed that he has already spoken to Blues boss Jose Mourinho, despite chief executive Peter Kenyon´s claims that there has been no contact from Chelsea for the African prodigy.

Some letters were leaked to the press recently indicating that United feel their signing is being coerced into agreeing a more lucrative transfer to Chelsea, and this disappointed Buck.

"The recent release of some letters?" he added. "We saw those letters in the spring time.

"We were disappointed then but clubs and people have to do what they think is right. We´re looking at this situation and dealing with it in the way we think is right."

Buck hinted that Chelsea are leading the race to sign DC United whizz-kid Freddy Adu.

"We are interested in any young top-notch players," he enthused. "That´s why we brought Frank Arnesen on board.

"I´m sure Frank has watched him play and is looking at him.

"If he´s as good as people say he is, I think we would be interested, yes."

Man Utd confirm South Africa tour

Manchester United will head to South Africa for a three-match, pre-season tour this summer.

Sir Alex Ferguson´s team will begin preparations for the new campaign with a 10-day trip from 13-23 July, playing matches against local sides.

The opposition will be confirmed at the beginning of March but United´s World Cup players will not be involved.

United will also compete in the four-team Amsterdam tournament on the first weekend in August.

The Red Devils will not finalise their entire pre-season programme until they know whether they will be required to play in an August Champions League qualifier.

But they are also planning a ´grand opening´ of the extended 76,000-capacity Old Trafford at some stage before the new Premiership season begins on 19 August.

Chelsea a juste annoncé que si Mikel pouvait etre pris ce serait fait ce qui me permet de dire que une fois les problemes juridiques réglés, il partira à Chelsea.

Je trouve quand meme ça lamentable qu´il s´exprime sur son recrutement alors meme que l´affaire n´est pas réglée d´autant plus que c´est un joueur mancunien contrairement à ce qu´il voudrait.
