Keane stands by Man Utd criticism
New Celtic midfielder Roy Keane has stood by his criticism of his former Manchester United team-mates over their 4-1 defeat by Middlesbrough in October.
He reportedly slammed United players in an interview with MUTV, which was never broadcast, and the outburst seemingly led to his departure from the club.
But Keane said: "If you are going to analyse a 4-1 defeat, then analyse it.
"I watched a recording of the programme with the United players and they were all in agreement with what I said."
Keane added: "Lots of stuff was said when I left United but I did not have a problem with the players.
"If you ask any player I have played with from my schooldays through to Nottingham Forest and United, they will all say something decent about me."
The former Republic of Ireland international, 34, also maintained he would not shy away from letting his new team-mates at Celtic know what he thinks of them.
He said: "At Celtic, I´ll settle in for the first few weeks and see how the lads operate.
"You know, find out the players who like a laugh and a joke, the quiet ones. After that, I will speak my mind.
"Players appreciate that in the long run.
"It is better to say things face to face than behind a person´s back. Players might not like me for it, but they will respect me."
Meanwhile, legendary United keeper Peter Schmeichel has joined Keane in criticising the current United squad - saying they are not focused on achieving success on the pitch.
Schmeichel, who won the Champions League with United in 1999, told the Mail on Sunday: "From where I am looking, all the players seem interested in now is cars and who has the biggest diamond.
"Today´s United team lacks personality. They certainly had that in Roy Keane.
"The only one with that kind of personality today is Wayne Rooney. Without Rooney, United would be a very ordinary team."
C´est pas totalement faux ce qu´il dit Schmeichel, heuresement qu´on a Rooney...
