Saha comeback on hold
Manchester United striker Louis Saha has suffered another setback in his rehabilitation from a serious knee injury.
The French hit-man has been besieged by injuries during his time at Old Trafford, with a knee injury having restricted him to the sidelines.
Saha has not played all year but had been expected to make an appearance against Barnet in the Carling Cup on Wednesday night.
However, this comeback has been shelved, for the moment at least, after Saha pulled up in training with a hamstring injury - with scans expected to be taken this week.
"Louis complained of a pain at the back of his leg during training," said assistant manager Carlos Queiroz.
"He has gone for a scan but we will not get the results until tomorrow and we will not take a risk with him until we are exactly sure what has happened."
United will field a side largely made up of youngsters and those on the periphery at Old Trafford, with Sir Alex Ferguson defending his policy of not playing a full strength side.
The United chief remembers a past game against Port Vale, in the same competition, when similar criticism proved foolish with the benefit of hindsight.
´´The were MPs raising questions in Parliament, complaining about us playing a weakened team,´´ Ferguson told Sky Sports News.
´´There were Port Vale supporters writing us hundreds of letters in protest, now these supporters are saying I was there when Beckham made his debut, Giggs, Scholes and all them.
´´Now they are boasting about it.´´
C´est le joueur le plus malchanceux qui est passé à MU ces dernières années.
