En tous cas ce qui serait un gros coup ce serait de sbtiliser Essien a Chelsea. Un milieu Essien-Mikel, ce serait super. Mais la je reve un peu ^^

Foot - ANG : Ballack à Manchester United?

Michael Ballack avait annoncé la semaine dernière son intention de rester à Munich pour faire taire les rumeurs, mais celles-ci persistent: le milieu de terrain Allemand serait en partance pour Manchester United. Il prendrait la succession de Roy Keane sur le terrain.

Sir Alex Ferguson s´est déclaré persuadé que le joueur rejoindrait bientôt les rangs des Red Devils, et a transmis aux dirigeants du Bayern une offre de 14 millions d´euros.

Pour l´instant, MU n´a pas été très actif sur le front des transferts, laissant à Chelsea le soin de remplir cette rubrique. Avec la signature de Ballack, le nouveau club de Glazer frapperait un gros coup.

Poussé vers la sortie par le Real Madrid, Michael Owen a affirmé souhaiter rejoindre Manchester United, selon News Of The World. Arsenal et Liverpool restent des pistes plausibles, tandis que Newcastle est exclu par le joueur.

Michael Owen, buteur du Real Madrid, est déterminé à rejoindre Manchester United ou Liverpool avant le début de la saison. Toutefois, News Of The World indique qu’il aurait un penchant pour le club dirigé par Alex Ferguson, bien que ses conseillers lui aient suggéré Liverpool. Ce qui est certain, c’est qu’après les arrivées de Baptista et Robinho, l’avenir de l’international anglais ne passe plus par la capitale espagnole.

En ce qui concerne Essien, je suis d´accord ruud_0, mais bon il est jeune, peut etre que ses succes lui sont montes a la tete. Je disais ca comme ca mais je prefererais avoir Ballack si on devait absolument recrutes quelqu´un. Il est habitue aux gros matchs genre final de coupe du monde ect. Il a de l´experience et est bon. De plus c´est un tireur de coup francs potables.

Mais apres qu´on est dit que Smith peut etre milieu, je pense pas qu´il soit indispensable.

Lyon: Aulas évoque MU au sujet d´Essien...
Alors que son milieu de terrain ghanéen, victime d´une gastro-entérite, était absent dimanche au Mans, où l´OL s´est imposé ( 2-1) pour son premier match de L1 cette saison, Jean-Michel Aulas est revenu au micro de Canal+, sur le désormais plus que probable départ de Michaël Essien pour Chelsea. Sans le démentir, le président lyonnais a semblé accentuer son discours destiné à faire monter les enchères en évoquant à la fois l´hypothèse d´un départ de son joueur uniquement la saison prochaine mais aussi l´éventualité de voir... Manchester United emporter le morceau! Voilà qui risque de mettre un peu plus la pression sur Roman Abramovitch qu´Aulas doit rencontrer en début de semaine. sait on jamais.....

C´est sûr qu´il essaie de faire monter les prix parce que j´ai du mal à croire que Glazer voudra mettre 30-35M£ pour Essien alors que Abra est pas chaud pour les mettre. En plus Fergie a parlé d´une dernière recrue experimentée et il n´a pas le profil.

Glazer a pas mal de dettes à rembourser alors je le vois mettre 30M£ sur un joueur qui ne les vaut pas.

L´effectif actuel est largement capable de concurrencer Chelsea, l´an dernier on a joué de malchance, beaucoup de blessés et peu de reussite devant le but mais on a quand meme encaissé peu de buts par rapport aux autres années. Je trouve qu´on a fait un bon recrutement là où il y avait besoin malgré le fait qu´on ait pas signé des " stars".

Heinze In Contention For Wrexham Match

Gabriel Heinze could make his first appearance of the summer in United´s Reserve team fixture against Wrexham on Tuesday night.

Sir Alex Ferguson would like the defender to play some part in the game, and has also requested Louis Saha and Phil Neville complete the full 90 minutes.

Heinze missed the club´s pre-season tour of the Far East because of his involvement in the Confederations Cup with Argentina. He hasn´t played for United since injuring his ankle against Newcastle on 24 April.

The left-back began training at the Reds´ Carrington training ground whilst the rest of the squad embarked on the four-match visit to Hong Kong, China and Japan.

Liam Miller, Giuseppe Rossi, Gerard Pique and Phil Bardsley will also feature in the match at the Racecourse Ground, which kicks of at 7:45.

Roy Keane, who has played in United´s last two Reserve matches, is expected to rejoin the first-team squad for the final pre-season friendly with Royal Antwerp in Belgium on Wednesday.

Eagles Tipped To Learn From Owls Spell

Reserves boss Ricky Sbragia is confident Chris Eagles will benefit from his five-month loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday.

The 19-year-old winger has joined Paul Sturrock´s Owls until the end of the year, and Sbragia feels regular first-team action will do Eagles no harm at all.

Ricky told ManUtd.com: " I think it´ll be a good football education for him. In my opinion he´s past the Reserves now, he needs to play a higher standard of football.

" It´d be nice if he´d gone to the Premiership but that didn´t happen, but I think he´ll play more Championship games and that´s important for him.

" It´s another level and another way of football. He´s going to play in their first-team, which is important for us, and for him to play that standard of football is good for his education."

Sbragia is hoping Eagles will follow the lead of fellow youngster Kieran Richardson, who has forced himself into Sir Alex Ferguson´s plans after a successful spell at West Brom towards the end of last season.

Ricky said: " You´d hope maybe Chris and Jonathon [Spector, who is on a season-long loan at Charlton] replicate the Kieran Richardson situation. They´ll get a taste of action and they´ll want more.

" I think they can play too much in the Reserves and get a bit stale. Jonathan had Reserve football at the back end of last season and he´s past that stage now, he has to play.

" You´d hope maybe he´ll learn from the Charlton experience, and Chris from Sheffield Wednesday, and then come back hungrier. Obviously they´ll get more games under their belt and they´ll be looking to push into the first-team. Time will tell for them."

With a glut of talent rising through the United ranks, Sbragia admitted that loan spells are often the answer for young players who are in a limbo state between Reserve and first-team football.

He said: " I think once you´ve had a taste of Reserve football you´re ready for the change and a new step up. It´s difficult to get in the first team and to play regularly.

" I think Darren Fletcher´s the last one to really bridge that gap and the thinking now is that if they don´t make the step up then they need to go out on loan. I think it´s important to go out and learn a little bit.

" Maybe we spoil them here a little bit with the facilities, they need to go out and see the other side of football. The important thing for me though is that they go out and play first-team football."

Robbo´s Rich hope

West Bromwich Albion manager Bryan Robson is still hopeful of signing Manchester United´s Kieran Richardson on loan for the forthcoming campaign.

Richardson spent a successful spell on loan last term after signing during the January transfer window and was instrumental in ensuring The Baggies retained their Premiership status.

After scoring three goals in 12 outings for Albion, Richardson´s star has continued to rise, crowning his England debut with two goals against the United States last May.

Robson told Sky Sports News: " I´ll be speaking to Sir Alex about Kieran´s position this week.

" I should find out soon whether he wants to keep him as part of his squad or loan him out again."

One player who will definitely be turning out at The Hawthorns next season is goalkeeper Chris Kirkland with Robson admitting that he has every chance of making the number one shirt his own.

Robson added: " Russell Hoult has had a groin injury and hasn´t played much football as a result.

" It will be some time before we see Russell back; so for the moment it is up to Chris and Tomasz Kuszczak to grab the opportunity."
