=>"Injury heartache for Vieira"
Vieira´s absence would be a massive blow
Photos from Highbury showdown
Patrick Vieira fears his season could be over, dealing a massive blow to Arsenal´s title bid.
The inspirational midfielder was forced off in the first half of the 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Highbury on Wednesday evening after aggravating a knee injury.
He is due to have an X-ray on Thursday and is expected to get the results later on in the day.
But the 26-year-old has already ruled himself out the match with Middlesbrough on Saturday and could miss the remaining four matches of the title run-in.
Match report:
Arsenal 2-2 Man Utd
Vieira said: " I hurt the knee again when I landed heavily after a challenge.
" What I need is a rest to cure the problem. I will definitely not be able to play on Saturday and I am not optimistic for the rest of the season.
" I can just hope for the best."
Vieira has been the driving force behind the Gunners´ bid to land an historic double Double.
His absence would be a massive setback for Arsenal, who are currently three points behind Manchester United in the league but with a game in hand.
Arsene Wenger´s men face Southampton in the FA Cup final on 17 May and Vieira could miss that game too
=> " Ferguson predicts tight finish "
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admits the Premiership race will go to the wire after the title showdown with Arsenal ended in deadlock.
But Arsenal counterpart Arsenal Wenger was left bemoaning the late sending off of Sol Campbell in the 2-2 Highbury draw as " a complete joke".
Campbell is set to miss the FA Cup final against Southampton and three Premiership matches after his second sending off this season, this time for elbowing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Ruud van Nistelrooy gave Manchester United a first-half lead, Thierry Henry responding twice for Arsenal before Ryan Giggs headed an equaliser.
Ferguson was the happier of the two managers, with United holding a three-point lead even though Arsenal have a game in hand.
He said: " I think it´s going to go to the wire.

" You´ve seen two great teams and our boys have got the momentum now - I´m just sorry we didn´t weather their storm.
" Arsenal have scored more goals than us - we have to do something about it.
" We´ve got four games left and they are all tough.

" Arsenal have five left and two or three of them are tough - the pot is still boiling very strongly."
And Wenger, who also lost captain Patrick Vieira in the first half with a knee injury, added: " I cannot say that anybody is in the driving seat.
" We have a big game at Middlesbrough on Saturday and we go from game to game because it can all change so quickly.
" The only way to win it is to give your all for each game."

Wenger added Campbell was devastated by his dismissal.
" Sol´s destroyed because he cannot understand it. Everybody knows he did not touch him on purpose. He had no intention of touching Solskjaer.
" What is his interest in doing Solskjaer with an elbow?
" He had the ball and just wanted to gain an extra yard to give the ball by pushing his arm out, which 99% of players do.
" I can show you some straight elbows against us, which were really dangerous, but this was definitely an accidental one. I´m very disappointed.

" In training, I´ve seen him in extreme situations. He doesn´t hit or kick anyone. It´s a complete joke.
" Frankly, I still can´t believe it. I would love us to play Manchester United again and a linesman to do that to Manchester United as I´ve never seen it."
Wenger admits he is worried by Vieira´s knee injury.
He said: " I don´t know how long he will be out for. I have left him in and out. The only thing I can say is that isn´t the solution as it hasn´t got rid of the pain."
=>Sir Alex Ferguson´s march towards Manchester United´s fans smacked of the triumphalist gesture he so despises in title rivals Arsenal.
With every step he took towards Highbury´s old Clock End at the final whistle, it looked like Ferguson believed his side had taken a giant stride towards regaining their Premiership title.
Only time will tell whether this was simply another psychological ploy from the master of the mind games after the 2-2 draw.
Match report: Arsenal 2-2 Man Utd
But Ferguson was swift to let the world know very publicly who he felt should be happier with events in the championship showdown.
In fact he was so pleased he even shook hands and congratulated referee Mark Halsey - and that means he is very pleased indeed.
The draw left the title race delicately balanced, but Ferguson´s body language spoke of a man who felt it was advantage Old Trafford.
And yet in many ways, this was an opportunity missed for Manchester United, particularly after an imperious first half which gave them a one-goal lead they might have trebled in that opening 45 minutes.
Arsenal played like a team who had lost their magic touch, particularly in an opening 45 minutes in which Manchester United posed all the serious questions.
Highbury player ratings
The Gunners´ famed resilience ground out goals and a point, but Ferguson´s exuberance was helped by renewed injury clouds growing over Patrick Vieira and the suspension now facing key Arsenal defender Sol Campbell.
But there was no ambiguity about one statement Ferguson made - which was that he expects the title race to go right to the wire.
Wenger was left frustrated
United fully deserved their point, and were deserted by good fortune, with Thierry Henry´s first goal coming courtesy of a deflection and his second coming from a position that was clearly offside.
This was a more measured Manchester United from the team that tried and failed to kick Arsenal out of the FA Cup at Old Trafford earlier this season.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, in contrast, looked frustrated in a manner that suggested he would prefer the points on the board to the crucial game in hand.
And rarely has Wenger looked more animated or disgusted than when he went into a rare bout of touchline histrionics after Arsenal allowed Manchester United to equalise within seconds of going ahead.
The title picture may come more sharply into focus after football´s traditional Easter sort out.
Arsenal are away to Middlesbrough and Bolton while Manchester United face Blackburn at Old Trafford before resuming Champions League combat against Real Madrid.
Ferguson finished an eventful encounter at Highbury with an imperious spring in his step - and with the air of a man who feels his players can now win the sprint finish to the title finishing tape.
=>un petit resume ; -)
Arsenal and Manchester United left the championship chase balanced on a knife edge after an eventful stalemate at Highbury.
Manchester United lead the Premiership by three points after Arsenal ended with 10 men following a late red card for defender Sol Campbell.
But Arsenal still have a game in hand and will feel they can now go on to retain the title.
Ruud van Nistelrooy gave Manchester United a deserved first-half lead with a brilliant solo effort.
But Arsenal fought back and edged ahead with a double from Thierry Henry after the interval.

But their lead lasted only seconds as United restored parity courtesy of a Ryan Giggs header.
And the final twist came when Campbell was sent off for elbowing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - leaving him facing a suspension that will rule him out of the FA Cup final against Southampton.
Arsenal suffered a blow before kick-off when goalkeeper David Seaman was ruled out through illness - with Stuart Taylor deputising.
And he should have conceded a goal in the eighth minute when Solskjaer´s cross eluded Martin Keown and the normally lethal Paul Scholes headed wide from only eight yards.
Van Nistelrooy was also guilty of uncharacteristic generosity in front of goal, lifting a casual finish over the bar with only Taylor to beat after good work by Scholes.
The draw means the title race is still wide open

Brooking´s verdict
But it was third time lucky for United when they took the lead in devastating fashion after 23 minutes.
Giggs found Van Nistelrooy, and the Dutchman skipped away from Campbell before beating Keown for pace and beating the onrushing Taylor.
Arsenal´s off-colour first half took a turn for the worse 10 minutes later when captain Patrick Vieira, who never looked happy and wore a large strapping on his troublesome knee, limped off to be replaced by Edu.
United made a substitution of their own during the interval, sending on Gary Neville for John O´Shea.

Wenger´s men needed a lift from somewhere - and it came in the shape of a highly-fortuitous leveller after 50 minutes.
Ashley Cole´s shot was drifting wide until it struck Henry and deflected past Fabien Barthez.
Arsenal were in front after 62 minutes, but it was a lead that lasted less than a minute.
Henry was well offside as he strode clear to beat Barthez, but as Arsenal´s concentration wavered, United swept upfield almost immediately and Giggs was unmarked to head Solskjaer´s cross past Taylor.
Arsenal were reduced to 10 men with eight minutes left, when Campbell elbowed Solskjaer and was sent off after referee Mark Halsey consulted his assistant.
The Gunners almost stole the victory in injury-time, but Barthez saved with his legs from Henry.
