John Obi Mikel´s future will hopefully be decided soon after agent John Shittu and Lyn director Morgan Andersen agreed to a public debate to sort the issue.

The young Nigerian sensation has been at the centre of a tug-of-war between Premiership duo Manchester United and Chelsea.

The Red Devils claimed they had already secured the signature of the midfielder, who then turned around and insisted he was forced into signing against his will.

He is desperate for a move to the Blues, who are awaiting a verdict from governing body Fifa over the matter.

In the meantime, Shittu and Andersen, who have been blaming each other for the mess, will attempt to clear it up once and for all in a public debate.

Shittu told VG: " Thus far it has just been a soap opera. We will now see the big movie and it will be a bestseller, we will reveal everything.

" It should be on Norwegian television to let everyone see what a crook Morgan Andersen is."

The Lyn director has welcomed the news, responding: " I certainly hope he ( Shittu) will stand by his word."

United agree keeper deal

Stoke City have agreed a deal with Manchester United for goalkeeper Ben Foster, skysports.com can confirm.

Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson has decided that Foster is the man he wants to provide competition to Edwin van der Sar and Tim Howard.

Foster, who has never actually played for Stoke´s first team, came through the youth system at The Britannia Stadium after joining from non-league outfit RC Warwick.

It was during loan spells with Bristol City and last season with Wrexham that Foster showed his true credentials.

Now a deal understood to be worth over £1 million is in place.

Foster is expected at United´s training complex at Carrington over the next 48 hours to complete the formalities.

" Ben is delighted that a deal has been agreed," confirmed Foster´s agent Lee Payne to skysports.com.

" He will now look forward to talking to United.

" It is a dream come true and he cannot wait to meet with Sir Alex."

While Stoke are losing their third choice in Foster, they have at the same time secured the future of their number one Steve Simonsen.

Skysports.com can reveal that the former Everton star has penned a new three-year deal.

Simonsen was being tracked by a host of Premiership clubs, but he has now decided to commit his future to Stoke.

He will now be contracted to The Potteries club until 2008.

Celta confident over Kleberson

Celta Vigo have revealed they are confident of signing Manchester United midfielder Kleberson.

United have disclosed that they are willing to listen to offers for the Brazilian.

The World Cup winner has failed to hit the heights at Old Trafford since arriving two years ago from Atletico Paranaense.

United have rejected several offers to let the player leave on loan with Benfica and Sporting Lisbon expressing an interest in the South American.

Celta Vigo now look to be favourites for Kleberson with Benfica switching their attentions elsewhere and Sporting only interested in a loan switch.

The Spanish side are planning for life back in La Liga after winning promotion last season and they have made Kleberson one of their top targets.

Celta Vigo director of sport Felix Canero is hopeful a deal can be done for Kleberson.

" We are very optimistic about the possible arrival of Kleberson," Canero told skysports.com.

" In the next week all could be decided."

Kleb desperate to leave

Manchester United flop Kleberson has stated he is desperate to leave Old Trafford in order to bolster his World Cup chances in Germany next summer.

The former Atletico Paranaense midfielder has struggled to make in impact with The Red Devils culminating in losing spot in the Brazil team.

Kleberson knows time is running out to claim his place in the Samba Boys line-up and is keen to secure first-time football in order to showcase his talents.

Celta Vigo are the latest club to be linked with his signature, although Portuguese giants Benfica are also believed to be keen on the 26-year-old.

" I have less than one year to return the national team before the World Cup finals," explained Kleberson.

" At whichever club that may be, I will get an opportunity. Here at United, there is less chance.

" Last year was my most frustrating at United. It is something we do not want to forget because we can use it as motivation.

" My agent has said there may be some possibility of a move to Benfica. But there hasn´t been great demand."

Meanwhile, Sir Alex Ferguson has hinted the Premiership giants may move for Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Ballack.

The Germany superstar has 12 months remaining on his contract and Ferguson is keen to add experience to his squad to help nurture his younger players.

" We need somebody with experience to complement the nucleus of young players like Smith, Rooney and Ronaldo that we have," revealed Ferguson.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson insists his side cannot lose a single game if they are to win their first Premiership title since 2003.
Ferguson believes if he is to rein in Chelsea and Arsenal his side must step up another level too.

" We have to make sure we are flying right from the first game of the season," said Ferguson.

" The game has changed. We are possibly starting the Premier League saying we cannot afford to lose a game."

Jose Mourinho´s Chelsea lost just once - away to Manchester City - on their way to claiming the title last season with a record number of points ( 95).

And Arsenal were also in record-breaking form, remaining unbeaten on their way to the 2003-04 crown.

In contrast, Manchester United lost five matches last season, including the opener to Chelsea.

In the past, Ferguson has tapered his training to ensure they hit peak around Christmas but he admits he must change his tactics for the campaign ahead.

" Over the last two years, Chelsea and Arsenal have suffered an average of half a defeat a season," said Ferguson.

" In a lot of seasons in the past we have been behind at Christmas and gone by the leaders by the middle of March.

" But we couldn´t do that last season and we cannot afford another slow start."

Le Bayern résigné à laisser partir Ballack vers MU

Alors que ses dirigeants l’avaient déclaré " intransférable" ces deux dernières années, notamment sous les assauts du Real et plus récemment de MU, le milieu de terrain Michael Ballack pourrait finalement s’envoler vers Old Trafford.

C’est en fait le retard pris par Ballack dans la signature de prolongation de son contrat ( qui se termine en juin 2006) qui a poussé les dirigeants bavarois à fixer le prix, préférant récupérer de l’argent maintenant qu’absolument rien dans 1 an.

Ce prix se situerait aux alentours de 13 millions d’euros, ce qui peut paraître cher pour le rachat d’une unique année de contrat mais Sir Alex semble disposé à les payer tant il veut le joueur pour ses qualités et surtout pour son expérience afin d’encadrer la génération Ronaldo, Rooney, Fletcher Brown et Smith.

ballack est sans doute l´un des meilleurs millieu du moment . .
