Gerrard is a goner
Manchester United fear Chelsea have already agreed a deal to land Steven Gerrard. And that could cause a major rethink in the Old Trafford club’s transfer policy this summer. United were adamant that boss Sir Alex Ferguson would not be given any money at the end of the season unless he generated it from sales. But the belief among the United hierarchy that Liverpool skipper Gerrard is already on his way to Stamford Bridge has sent shock waves through Old Trafford.
Neil Custis, The Sun

Get me Robinson says Fergie
Sir Alex Ferguson will hold a summer fire sale to raise cash for new players at Manchester United – and then order his board to deliver England’s Paul Robinson. The United boss has been told he has to sell before he can buy, but his top priority is a goalkeeper – and Tottenham’s England international Robinson is the man he wants. The Daily Express can reveal that United have already made contact with Spurs about Robinson – and been told the starting price is around £12m. United, though, are banking on Spurs eventually being willing to accept around £8-9m for a player that cost them only £1.8m when he was purchased from relegated Leeds last summer.
Tony Banks, Daily Express

Fergie’s double Lyon hunt
Manchester United are planning a £15m hunt for Florent Malouda and Michael Essien. Starsport exclusively revealed United’s interest in Essien last month and see him as Roy Keane’s long-term replacement. But manager Sir Alex Ferguson also has his eye on Lyon’s exciting left-winger Malouda. United’s chief scout, Fergie’s brother Martin, watched both players during their Champions League quarter-final 1-1 draw against PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday, in which Malouda scored.
Danny Fullbrook, Daily Star

There´s a host of Spanish interest in the Premiership on Sunday. Barcelona are planning to swoop for Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson and are willing to pay £6m for his services. ( Sunday Mirror)

And Manchester United are also interested in the player but have been told it will cost them £8m, and not £6m. ( The People)

United have Spanish interests of their own, and are planning to snap up Racing Santander winger Mario Regueiro. ( News of the World)

McClaren targets United ace

Middlesbrough have targeted Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher for a loan swoop, according to reports in the North East.

The Scotland international, who scored his only United goal against Boro, is believed to be one of Steve McClaren´s possible recruits for the close season.

Buoyed by Sir Alex Ferguson´s declaration that he is willing to farm out more players next term, McClaren has reportedly already had talks with United over the 21-year-old´s availability.

Whether Ferguson will want to allow Fletcher to leave, even on a loan basis, is another matter altogether.

The Red Devils boss rates his fellow countryman extremely highly and was pleased with his development this term before the midfielder limped out of the win at Manchester City and has been sidelined ever since.

Fletcher has shown promise at Old Trafford, and performed well in the FA Cup final win over Millwall last term, but has struggled to win over all of United´s supporters.

Much could depend on United´s spending this summer but, with chief executive David Gill warning that the majority of the budget was spent on Wayne Rooney last year, Fletcher seems unlikely to be any further away from the first team as he is, when fit, at present.

Boro are known to be planning ahead for next season already with Portsmouth striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni another player on McClaren´s hit-list.

>> ça m´etonnerait qu´on le prête mais je le met quand meme.

Give it rest, Fergie
He has lost the league, the Carling Cup and the Champions League - and now Sir Alex Ferguson seems to be losing the plot too. English football´s red-faced Rottweiler tore into his £150million team from the touchline as they failed to score a single goal against the side with the worst defensive record in the Premiership. If Arsenal´s defence has gone AWOL this season, it´s Manchester United´s attack that has gone on the missing list. No wonder Chelsea are strolling towards the Premiership title. And no wonder there are mutterings at Old Trafford about the man once thought to be bomb-proof. Would any other manager be indulged this much after spending so many millions for such pitiful reward? Sure, United are still in the FA Cup but to a club of their stature that´s a mere trinket and surely not enough to satisfy the directors who have bankrolled Fergie´s lavish spending. And on this form United probably won´t win the FA Cup anyway.
Darren Lewis, Daily Mirror

We should all fear Cup axe, says angry Neville
Manchester United defender Gary Neville has warned his team-mates that they should fear for their places in Sunday´s FA Cup semi-final against Newcastle after the 2-0 defeat at Norwich. He said: " We all have to take a good look at ourselves. If any player is not doing that, something is wrong. Next Sunday is a massive match for this club and for us as players. We have to perform, not just next Sunday but in the next six League games as well. Our reputations are at stake and we have a responsibility to Manchester United. We should be fearing for our places."
Ian Ladyman, Daily Mail

United ´took it easy...´
Norwich yesterday hit out at Manchester United, claiming the Reds arrived at Carrow Road thinking the points were in the bag. Canaries boss Nigel Worthington said: " Maybe they were a little bit blase thinking ´we´re alright, this is only Norwich, we´ll get the three points´." His skipper Craig Felming added: " Seeing the teamsheet gave us a bit of a boost. They clearly treated us a little bit lightly and they got punished."
David Woods, Daily Star

Delia´s Champers moment
Delia Smith enjoyed a Champagne moment as her club pulled off the shock of the season at Carrow Road. The delighted Norwich majority shareholder even joined in as the chirpy Canaries crowd chanted ‘Come on, let’s be having you’. That was Delia’s war cry at half-time against Manchester City six weeks ago when she stormed on to the pitch armed with a microphone. But there was no need to lift the home fans this time as rock-bottom Norwich ended third-placed Manchester United’s 20-match unbeaten Premiership record.
Charlie Wyett, The Sun

Norwich 2 United 0
Rock-bottom Norwich believe they can pull-off the Premiership´s Great Escape after stunning United with two second-half goals at Carrow Road. Dean Ashton and Leon McKenzie produced a two-goal salvo in 11 minutes to deck Fergie´s high-fliers. And with Southampton being crushed at Blackburn, Nigel Worthington´s side are now just four points from safety. United, meanwhile, are in real danger of missing out on second place and an automatic Champions League spot. They trail Arsenal - 1-0 winners at Middlesbrough - by three points.
Staff reporter, The Sun

et je en suis méme pas sur que ca suffise . Il y a eu pas mal d´erreurs ses 2 - 3 ans dans les transferts . Mais en méme temps de beuax joueurs sont arrivés . ...

je pense vraiment qu´on va passer a autre chose . Mais le prochaine entraineur va avoir du mal a arriver dans une équipe sans thune pour recruter . .
