Bon anniversaire Lmarco.
Lean mean Heinze
Gabriel Heinze is the no-frills hardman sending shudders through Premiership attacks. Not since Stuart Pearce has the English game seen a full-blooded full-back like him. A Star Man performance from the Argentine in the Carling Cup semi-final first leg 0-0 draw at Chelsea on Wednesday has helped make Manchester United favourites for a trip to Cardiff. The United fans at Stamford Bridge certainly approved again, chanting ‘Argentina’ every time Heinze launched into one of his thundering challenges. And Heinze, 26, admitted: “It’s amazing to hear the fans chanting my country’s name. Things like that have helped to make me feel very much at home.”

Sir Alex targets Kameni
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has targeted the most highly-rated keeper in Spain to solve his Old Trafford goalkeeping crisis. Ferguson is chasing Espanyol´s Cameroon international Carlos Kameni, 20, and has sent his goalkeeping coach, Tony Coton, to watch him four times this season. United are even ready to offer Spanish third choice keeper Ricardo as part of a £4million deal to lure him to Old Trafford. Kameni, who prefers to be known as Carlos rather than his real first name of Idriss, has a £4m buy-out clause on his contract which expires in 2007 but Ferguson will try and get him cheaper and would also like to do a player-plus-cash deal.

> je suis pas très convaincu par Kameni...
Merci
Ricardo pleads for Man Utd chance
Manchester United outcast Ricardo claims he is the answer to the Old Trafford outfit´s goalkeeping problems.
Ricardo, a £1.5m signing from Valladollid in 2002, was farmed out on loan to Racing Santander after conceding a series of penalties.
The 33-year-old said: " Tim Howard and Roy Carroll have both been number one and I have had to wait.
" But I believe I should be the first choice in any team in the world, and I think one day I will get my chance."
Ricardo conceded a penalty on his debut against Everton and was discarded by boss Sir Alex Ferguson after giving away other spot-kicks.
Howard and Carroll have both proved to be error-prone and Ricardo is ready to step up if called upon.
Ricardo said: " I think going to Santander helped Tim and Roy as they were able to move up in the pecking order.
I want to remain at Old Trafford but I also need to play football
Man Utd keeper Ricardo
" But the treatment I have had from Alex Ferguson has been very good, and he speaks with me a lot."
" I think I have the game to succeed in England but I need to have consistency. I know I conceded a penalty against Everton - but I saved it."
Ricardo´s contract expires at the end of the season and his days at Old Trafford could be numbered.
He said: " If I leave United then my aim is to stay in England as I want to prove to people here what a good keeper I am.
" I want to remain at Old Trafford but I also need to play football and that is why I went back to Santander.
" I have heard nothing about a new deal and if you don´t play you don´t expect one.
" At the moment I´m concentrating on United and being ready if I am called upon, although I suppose part of me is wondering what will happed in the summer."
SIR ALEX TARGETS KAMENI
Exclusive By John Cross
MANCHESTER UNITED boss Sir Alex Ferguson has targeted the most highly-rated keeper in Spain to solve his Old Trafford goalkeeping crisis.
Ferguson is chasing Espanyol´s Cameroon international Carlos Kameni, 20, and has sent his goalkeeping coach, Tony Coton, to watch him four times this season.
United are even ready to offer Spanish third choice keeper Ricardo as part of a £4million deal to lure him to Old Trafford.
American Tim Howard has won back his place but has struggled for form while Roy Carroll is refusing to sign a new deal and has also failed to convince that he should be the club´s No.1.
But Kameni, who joined from French club Le Havre last summer, is now regarded as the best keeper in Spain and has saved all three of the penalties he has faced this season.
Kameni, who prefers to be known as Carlos rather than his real first name of Idriss, has a £4m buy-out clause on his contract which expires in 2007 but Ferguson will try and get him cheaper and would also like to do a player-plus-cash deal.
Kameni has built up a reputation as having a huge physical presence and has even succeeded Real Madrid´s Iker Casillas as the best keeper in La Liga.
United keeper to leave
Ricardo is set to leave Manchester United at the end of the season as the Premiership side are understood to be prepared to offer the Spaniard a route back to La Liga.
United continue to be linked with a move for Espanyol prospect Carlos Kameni with Ricardo being touted as a bargaining chip in any bid for the African shot-stopper.
Sir Alex Ferguson has still to truly solve his goalkeeping problems at Old Trafford with Roy Carroll hindering his prospects of becoming the long-term number one with a jittery, if fortunate, performance against Tottenham. Tim Howard has deputised and not conceded a goal in two games so Ferguson has a difficult decision to make ahead of the trip to Liverpool.
Ricardo has the self-belief to insist he should be first choice at United, even though he has not convinced in Manchester.
" I heave heard nothing about a new deal and, if you don´t play, then you don´t expect one," he stated.
" At the moment, I am concentrating on United and being ready if I am called on, although I suppose part of me is wondering what will happen in the summer.
" I think that, one day, I will get my chance. Tim Howard and then Roy Carroll have both been number one and I have had to wait.
" I need to play and so get more confidence.
" I always try my best and my aim is to be the first choice. I believe that I should be the first choice in any team in the world."
Ricardo, who spent last season on loan at Racing Santander, is, like Carroll, out of contract at the end of the season.
" If I leave United, then my aim is to stay in England," he told PA International.
" I want to prove to the people here what a good keeper I am.
" I want to remain at Old Trafford but I also need to play football."
United´s preference for fielding younger players in the reserve teams means the likes of Ricardo are left without any match action for long spells.

Tottenham have revealed they are monitoring the progress of Dutch international trio Mark Van Bommel and Rafael van Bommel and Wesley Sneijer.
Spurs boss Martin Jol admitted he was closely watching PSV Eindhoven´s Van Bommel as well as the Ajax duo Van der Vaart and Sneijder.
Jol told Dutch magazine Sportweek: " We are enchanted with Van Bommel - he is a midfielder that would fit in my team "
The 27-year-old van Bommel will be a free agent in the summer.
Jol called him a " complete midfielder with overview, dynamics and a good pass".
Tottenham have enjoyed a bright run in the Premiership since Jol took over from former France international coach Jacques Santini.
Despite his glowing praise for van Bommel, Jol said the 21-year-old Van der Vaart and Sneijder, 20, were both also targets.
" Sneijder is a real football player with both feet and anexcellent pass," said Jol.
" In a 4-5-1 Van der Vaart, as second striker, and Sneijder would do well, while Van Bommel is versatile."
Merci^^

>> Pas moyen ^^
Joyeux Anniv´ !
Finalement on va étre les seuls a acheter personne . Dur d´étre pauvre . .
Sir Alex´s Gerrard desire
Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted that he would enter the bidding if Steven Gerrard was made available by Liverpool, but the Scot feels there is little prospect of luring the midfielder to Manchester United.
Old Trafford supremo Ferguson has held a long-standing interest in Gerrard as he believes the England international would be the perfect replacement for ageing Red Devils talisman Roy Keane.
Keane is in the twilight of his career at Old Trafford and Ferguson has been scouring the market for a replacement for some time.
The likes of Kleberson and Eric Djemba-Djemba have failed to take their opportunities and it would appear that Gerrard is Ferguson´s favoured option to take on the baton from Keane.
Ferguson feels Gerrard can be the dominant midfielder in English football for the next decade and the Scot admits he will attempt to bring him to Old Trafford if The Reds fail to satisfy the 24-year-old´s desire for silverware.
" What I´ll say is that we would show an interest if we thought there was any chance, but realistically I don´t think he would ever come here," Ferguson told The Times.
" Yes it´s true that I thought the same about [Alan] Smith and probably also [Rio] Ferdinand at one stage, but that´s a completely different situation.
" I could name you 15 players who have gone between Leeds and Manchester United, but no player has gone directly between Liverpool and Manchester United in something like 40 years.
" It´s a very different proposition."
Ferguson made no secret of his admiration for Gerrard, comparing him favourably with Keane.
" There´s a lot of similarities between them," added the astute Scot. " They both show that great desire and energy in their game. It´s a question of how long they retain it.
" I think Gerrard would be the first to admit that Roy has been at that level for a long time. He has had that for more than a decade, which is incredible.
" Gerrard could be the pivotal player in England over the next decade - for the national team I mean, because he´s certainly already that for his club."
Ferguson will get another chance to take a first-hand look at Gerrard on Saturday, as Manchester United travel to Anfield for a lunchtime showdown - live on Sky Sports 1.
> Va falloir sacrement le flater et faire meme plus pour qu´il vienne un jour chez nous mais ça fait rever le public....
