Fergie remains upbeat
Sir Alex Ferguson is in confident mood going into the knockout phase of the UEFA Champions League.
Manchester United finished second in their group after an under-strengthened side went down 3-0 at Fenerbahce.
The result means United will play one of five teams - Bayer Leverkusen, Internazionale, Juventus, Milan or Monaco.
Ferguson, though, does not care who United face in the next round.
" It doesn´t matter who you get out of that five," Ferguson told Sky Sports.
" You hope you go through and have everyone ready and you need a bit of luck with injuries when it comes round to the end of February, beginning of March.
" It is the tournament you always hope to be in and we are in the last 16 with a great chance."
On the defeat Ferguson admitted he had no cause for complaint over the result.
" They caught us and we showed a lack of strength defensively which was an area where we should have been strongest, but I have no complaints over the scoreline," he said.
" We had some chances and you have to take one, but we didn´t.
" It was a great experience for them. The next time they come to a European situation they will be far better."
