Fergie´s Neville fear
Sir Alex Ferguson concedes Phil Neville may want to quit Manchester United to secure more regular first team football.
Neville has established himself as something of a ´jack-of-all-trades´ during his lengthy United career but has never been an automatic first choice.
The England international, who can play at full back or in midfield, admitted his frustration recently at his failure to start on a more regular basis at Old Trafford.
Red Devils boss Ferguson admits he can not provide the 27-year-old with any guarantees of a sustained run in the team.
Ferguson fears Neville may decide to copy the example of former team-mate Nicky Butt, who left the club in the summer for Newcastle United in search of more frequent playing time.
" It´s always a concern," admitted Ferguson. " I hope he gets enough games to justify his faith in the club.
" He´s a magnificent professional but he´s riddled with bad luck."
Neville will have a chance to stake yet another claim for a more prominent role in the team when he lines up against an under-strength Arsenal side in the Carling Cup quarter final on Wednesday.
He will have another opportunity against Fenerbahce in the UEFA Champions League next week and Ferguson has nothing but praise for the player´s attitude.
The Scot added: " Phil is a fantastic professional. You could probably look at the last ten years at this club and relate it to the Nevilles´ attitude, both of them, as an example to everyone here.
" Training performances, behaviour patterns, he´s an absolutely magnificent professional. You couldn´t pick a better professional, he´s unbelievable.
" He makes a great contribution to the club every day. He´s just riddled with bad luck. You pick him and then Roy Keane gets fit.
" Obviously he is frustrated but tonight is a great night for him. He´ll also play in Turkey."

United Set To Sign Two African Starlets
Manchester United are set to sign two of Africa´s brightest prospects Jon Mikel and Promise Isaac.
The two Nigerians impressed United scouts at the World Youth Championships and were impressive during trials at Carrington, so Sir Alex Ferguson offered them contracts.
It is understood that when they sign, they would both go out on loan to Belgian feeder club Royal Antwerp to give them first-team experience.
Isaac, 16 and Mikel, 17 have been tipped as the finest footballers to come out of Africa.
Isaac´s Sporting promise
by Mark Buckingham - Last Updated 29 Nov 2004
Isaac Promise, labelled the ´Nigerian Wayne Rooney´, is undergoing an extended trial with Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon.
The teenage striker, who trained with Manchester United over a year ago, is rated as one of the best prospects in African football.
Still only a 16-year-old, Promise is the captain of Nigeria´s Under-20 team and has already played for the Under-23 side.
Though his tender age currently makes it problematic to clinch a contract in European football, he is spending time with Sporting in an attempt to showcase his talent.
Promise´s agent Dan Fletcher is confident the young attacker will be able to fulfil the potential that has earned him such a burgeoning reputation.
" Promise has been working very, very hard for the chance to prove himself in European football," Fletcher told skysports.com.
" He is under 18-years-old and a non-EU player so the Fifa regulations make it hard for him to get a chance to fulfil his ambitions and play in Europe.
" But, like his good friend and Nigeria Under-20 team-mate Solomon Okoronkwo at Hertha Berlin, he is more than capable of taking any chances given to him and I am convinced that he´ll have a very bright future in the European game.
" In Nigeria, he is considered to be the ´Nigerian Wayne Rooney´ so he has a lot of hype to live up to but he also has the obvious talent to shine."

Starlet eyes Barca return
Manchester United starlet Gerard Pique has admitted he wants to return to former club Barcelona one day.
The 17-year-old Spaniard joined United from Barca last summer following seven years at Camp Nou.
He decided to turn his back on the Catalan titans after declaring himself unhappy with the club´s first professional contract offer to him.
He admits the decision to head to England caused some bad feeling at Barca, but hopes it will be forgotten and that in time he will able to move back and play for his boyhood idols.
" I will always leave the door open ( for a return to Barcelona)," he stated.
" Now I am thinking about Manchester, it´s my club, but in the future - near or far, that I don´t know - I would like to return.
" I took a decision, and it was mine.
" I did not get the agreement that I wanted ( at Barcelona), but I believe over the course of time things will work out and we will be able to talk again."
The teenager went on to admit that he was overjoyed with Barca´s superb start to the campaign which has seen them progress from the group stages in the UEFA Champions League and open up a seven-point lead at the head of La Primera.
" It´s fantastic," he continued. " This year everything is going perfectly for them.
" I am delighted and congratulate them because they have worked very well and they deserved it."
