Luciano Moggi, le directeur général de la Juventus Turin, a déclaré samedi soir que Antonio Cassano, l’attaquant de l’AS Roma, est sur les tablettes du club.

United terminate Glazer talks

Manchester United´s board have terminated discussions with American tycoon Malcolm Glazer with immediate effect.

The Red Devils have been discussing the potential sale of the club with Glazer - who has been steadily increasing his stake.

However, United have announced that they have terminated discussions with the Glazer family with respect to " the current proposals."

" Given its views on the importance of an appropriate capital structure, the board has decided to inform all shareholders that it would regard an offer which it believes to be overly leveraged as not being in the best interests of the company," read the statement to the stock exchange.

" Accordingly the board has determined that it would not support any offer underpinned by the structure which has been outlined in relation to the Glazer family´s potential offer.

" The board has informed the Glazer family of these views and that it has therefore terminated discussions with respect to the current proposals."

Manchester United supporters groups had strongly objected to the sale and staged a protest at Sunday´s game with Arsenal in which six people were arrested.

Victory over The Gunners at Old Trafford has increased the club´s hopes of getting back into the title race - although they are still eight points behind The Gunners.

Gill Aims To Secure United Future

Reds chief executive David Gill says the Manchester United Board hopes to implement a structure among shareholders to safeguard a settled future for the club.

On Monday morning Manchester United announced they have terminated talks with Malcolm Glazer over a potential takeover, saying the possible financial structure was " overly leveraged".

" The Board has determined that it would not support any offer underpinned by the structure which has been outlined in relation to the Glazer Family´s potential offer," read the Club´s statement to the stock exchange.

And now David Gill would like to see an clear structure put in place. He told BBC Radio Five Live: " We want to work with the Glazer Family, Cubic Expression and Shareholders United in order to develop a structure that gives us a long-term solution.

" It [the proposed offer from Glazer] failed based on the level of debt proposed and the outline business plan could be detrimental to the club going forward. Therefore we terminated discussions."

Roy Carroll - 7: Came out quickly to smother a shot from Henry. Little to do but looked alert and safe for United.

Gary Neville - 7: As usual he was well up for the battle. Booked for a foul on Reyes but a comfortable afternoon.

Gabriel Heinze - 8: A very solid performance and he even came close to breaking the deadlock when he ventured forward.

Rio Ferdinand - 8 ( STAR MAN): Rarely put a foot wrong in the biggest test since his return to action. A true captain´s display.

Mikael Silvestre - 7: Along with Campbell, he performed admirably with anything the Arsenal attack could throw at them.

Phil Neville - 7: Came in for Roy Keane. Like brother Gary he was booked for a foul on Reyes. Not much influence.

Paul Scholes - 5: Got through plenty of work in defence but badly let down by some sloppy passing.

Cristiano Ronaldo - 6: Showed his ample box of tricks but was guilty of overplaying or choosing the wrong option, often to the dismay of his team-mates.

Wayne Rooney - 6: Very eager to get involved but little was going right for him until he earned a controversial and decisive penalty.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - 7: He got away with what looked a nasty challenge on Cole. He was kept very quiet but unlike last year he held his nerve to score from the spot.

Ryan Giggs - 5: Lively early on in a left-wing role but became less of an influence as the game progressed.

Alan Smith ( Replaced Ronaldo, 70 minutes) - 7: Only on for a few minutes but enough time to set up the second goal for Rooney.

J´aurai peut-être mis que 6 à Phil et le 7 de Ruud est discutable, mais bon match quand même de tout le monde, y compris les remplaçants. Défensivement depuis le retour de Rio ça va de mieux en mieux...

j´espere que rio n´aura pas l´idée de se blesser...

Match demain soir à Crewe en Carling Cup, pas mal de jeunes et de remplaçants devraient jouer...Retour d´Howard possible.

qu´il soit tombé ou pas ne change rien au fait qu´il est super doué.

sans vouloir offenser , hier il a joué comme une m.....ainsi ve ruud...Par contre heinze s´est vraiment trés bien débrouillé

henry a joué encore plus mal qu´eux et je t´entends pas dire que c´est une m... comme tu dis. on juge pas un joueur sur un seul match.

Ca sert à rien de repondre, laisse-le polemiquer tout seul ^^ Arsenal n´a eu qu´un tir cadré, et j´entends pas Ashley Cole se plaindre que l´arbitre ait pas sifflé sa faute énorme dans la surface sur Cristiano, donc si on voulait refaire le match...

Arsenal a perdu la bataille tactique tout simplement, ils n´ont pas réussi à développer leur jeu sur les côtés, aucun centre n´est passé, et ils n´ont trouvé qu´une fois la pronfondeur en jouant dans l´intervalle ( l´occase d´Henry). MU a réussi à faire déjouer Arsenal et a gagné, point, on va pas refaire 150 fois le match vu qu´en dehors de l´occase d´Henry les Gunners ont jamais été dangeureux...

Pour en revenir au match de Crewe, pas mal de monde susceptible de jouer:

Howard, O´Shea, Brown, Spector, Bardsley, Piqué, Jones, Richardson, Rossi, Miller, Djemba, Fletcher, Kleberson, Bellion, Eagles, Ngalula, Saha, Smith.

Voila à peu prés ce qui pourraient jouer ^^

En tout cas la victoire de Manchester donne de l´intérêt au championnat anglais parce que sinon
