Rossi At The Double As Reds Stretch Unbeaten Run
Giuseppe Rossi was once again United´s star performer as the Reserves ran out 4-1 winners over Chester City.
The 17-year-old made an immediate impact for United after coming on as a 64th minute substitute with two top class finishes.
For his first, Rossi slotted the ball home brilliantly after a terrific one-two with Sylvan Blake in the 73rd minute, while four minutes later, after being brought down by Kevin McIntyre on the edge of the area, Rossi dusted himself down and fired home a sublime freekick.
United had earlier gone ahead through a Colin Heath penalty after just 14 minutes. Heath was brought down in the area by the Chester keeper and he coolly slotted the ball home from the spot.
Two minutes after half-time, Heath was involved again as his good work allowed Blake to fire United into a 2-0 lead.
Chester pulled one back through a diving McIntyre header in the 66th minute, but it was scant consolation for the visitors as United stretched their unbeaten Pontin´s league run to seven games.
