Pour Cudicini, ça serait étonnant, vu que son agent a dt hier qu´il voulait rester à Chelsea. On sait que ça ne veut pas toujours dire grand chose, mais à priori ce sera pas lui.

:d) Gill hails Man Utd finances

Gill is ready to announce a new sponsorship policy at United
Manchester United chief executive David Gill says the club´s financial strength is as strong as ever.
Although they lost the Premiership to Arsenal last season, United are expected to announce a strong set of end-of-year results next week.

" Manchester United is as big a draw as they have always been," said Gill.

" United have been in this position for many years and intend to remain there. Why wouldn´t companies want to deal with us?"

Gill is set to launch a new approach to their sponsorship policy by reducing the number of commercial partners.

Aside from shirt sponsors Vodafone and kit manufacturers Nike, United have significant deals with eight companies.

Our history and heritage has been built up over many years and is incredibly important to us

Manchester United chief executive David Gill

And the club´s board believe cutting the number will give the companies they do sign with get maximum value from the association.

" We need to be sensible. It is not going down to one or two but if our partners get more from a sponsorship deal, we can increase the value," added Gill.

" Our aim is to tie up with companies who also have a global reach.

" The signing of Wayne Rooney signalled our intent and desire to remain at the top of European football and there is still a mystical image about the club.

" Our history and heritage has been built up over many years and is incredibly important to us.

" We have been in this position for many years and intend to remain there."

Carroll wants regular spot

Manchester United keeper Roy Carroll has pleaded with manager Sir Alex Ferguson for a run in the first-team in a bid to win a new deal.

The Northern Ireland international is currently second fiddle to Tim Howard at Old Trafford but did play in United´s 2-1 win over Liverpool on Monday.

Carroll is out of contract at the end of the season and would like the chance to show what he can do in a bid to land a new deal with The Red Devils.

With Howard making a less than below-par beginning to the campaign, Carroll is hoping his display against The Reds will land him a second consecutive start against Tottenham.

" My contract is up at the end of the season and nobody has yet mentioned anything about a new one," said Carroll.

" Like anybody I want to play. Tim Howard is a great keeper, but it´s no good to me spending my whole time on the bench.

" I´m like anyone else as I want to play."

Naybet warns United

Noureddine Naybet has stoked the fires ahead of Tottenham´s clash with Manchester United this weekend.

The Moroccan international believes that United are not as strong as they once were and that it will take them time to recapture their former glories.

" The fact is Manchester United´s cycle of glory is over and Arsenal´s has begun. I think they are at a low point and they have lost a lot of the qualities which made them so great," Naybet told The Sun.

" Some United players have moved on, they have signed a lot of youth and they will need three or four years to build a great team again."

The veteran defender is enjoying his time at Spurs having arrived in the summer from Deportivo La Coruna and admitted it was always his dream to play in England.

" I´ve been dreaming my whole life of playing in England because that was the soccer I grew up watching," added Naybet.

" Nobody had to push me to sign for Spurs. I jumped at the chance and turned down other opportunities which were more financially lucrative.

" My aim is that we will take Spurs to a European qualifying place this season - and I won´t settle for less."

:d) ça devient une habitude pour nos adversaires de dire que Mu est fini... :honte:

Cudicini snubs United
Carlo Cudicini vowed to stay and scrap for his Chelsea place - despite interest from Manchester United. The Italian keeper is top of Alex Ferguson’s hit-list to take over from Tim Howard at Old Trafford. But Cudicini, 31, insists he is happy to slug it out with £7million Petr Cech after recovering from an elbow ligament injury. Luca Bascherini, Cudicini’s agent, confirmed: " It is clearly a pleasure for Carlo to be linked with such a big club like Manchester United. But he is happy to stay and fight for his place at Chelsea."

< <<< ben tant mieux car je ne vois pas l´interet de ce joueur . ...
