Good people, a MIRACLE has occurred. So I was going around randomly looking for stuff, and spotted this Papyrus skyrim.ini settings.
[Papyrus]
fUpdateBudgetMS=1.6
fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=1.6
fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=1000.0
bEnableLogging=0
bEnableTrace=0
bLoadDebugInformation=0
iMaxMemoryPageSize=8192
iMinMemoryPageSize=256
iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=8388608
I used these, they didn’t seem to do that much to the game, but today I read that sometimes wrong papyrus settings can cause CTDs, and CTDs can also be caused by papyrus being retarded and failing to load and stuff. This setting in particular “fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS” supposedly adds time to loads so that papyrus can have more time to load. I set this to 2000 and CTDs dropped by close to 50%. I thus set this to 4000 and some “known-for-crashing” saves I had loaded on the first try.
