This time no Killzone but finally the first screenshots and some information about Shell Shock: Nam ’67 . This game is Guerilla’s second big project and should, next to Killzone offcourse, become another big title for the Playstation2.
Shell Shock will be using the same graphics-engine as Killzone and will be played as a 3rd person shooter. You are a SOG-Soldier ( Special Operation Group) and will be dropped in Vietnam together with your team and will have over 30 different weapons available, ranging from machineguns to flamethrowers.
The music in Shell Shock should just like Killzone be awesome but we cant tell anything about the Gameplay yet. However we expect it will be a mix between Socom and Medal of Honour because of the 3rd person view and history based storyline.
According to Martin de Ronde, Shell Shock won´t use the dramatic hollywood effects, just as they don´t want to put us-patriotism in the game. It will show the player the horrible truth about the vietnam war.
Guerrilla used the same in-house ´core´ engine as they did with killzone. So one thing is clear at this point: the graphics are superb!
Offcourse we at KillzoneGame.com will welcome Shell Shock: Nam ’67 with open arms and will certainly pay a lot of attention to this game. As soon as we receive more information we will let you know!
Thanks to Warmachine for the information and screens!
