-------------------------------Windows Vista----------------------------------
a. Click the startmenu, type in ncpa.cpl into the search field, click ENTER
b. In the new window, click "alt" on your keyboard, click the advanced tab, then click advanced settings.
c. In the adapter/bindings tab under connections, use the up/down arrows to relocate the "Hamachi" network connection to the top. This will make RSV2 choose the Hamachi network connection as default.
4. Now you need to select a Hamachi Network to join other players that are playing RSV2
5. Visit http://www.planethamachi.com/net_public.php
6. Select a network that is playing RSV2 and select the "join" button at the bottom of the screen
7. A download window will pop up. Tell the download window to open the file with Hamachi.
Now this network will be added to your Hamachi program.
8. Now you can either host a game of RSV2 or try to find an existing server by searching the LAN sections of story mode,
versus, and terrorist hunt.
9. If you can't find a game, you can set up a game with people by messaging with the players in the network.
Some people have had an error from the game saying that the "ethernet cable is disconnected". As of right now, we are not sure exactly what causes this. I would recommend that you uninstall Hamachi and reinstall the latest up-to-date version. Make sure that all of your settings are set to "default". If you've messed with Hamachi Settings or tried to alter any of the files in RSV2, this could be the cause of your problem. If all else fails, try reinstalling your RSV2 game. If we figure out exactly what causes this error, then we will update everyone as soon as possible.
Just so you all know, this network configuration does make the game work and we do have people playing the game. As far as finding servers... this game is very new and there aren't always going to be servers up and running. As soon as you log into a network, feel free to search for servers in your RSV2 game in the various LAN modes. If you do not find a server, then open one yourself and wait at least 10 minutes. There are many other people searching for games, and you will very likely have someone join your room. If this doesn't work for you, then find people that are online in your network and ask them to play with you. As this game is released worldwide and there are more players, it will be easier to find open servers all the time.
Also IF YOU can't get any of that to work try this. This is the last step I had to do to get it to work correctly:
Network connections --> Right click on Hamachi --> properties--> click tcp/ipv4 and hit properties --> then advanced---> change interface metric to 10
I go the tutorial from a Hamachi network and the last part about the interface metric from some guy on the network.
Good luck!
