J'ai reçu Borderlands a l'ordi pour noël ( je suis pas là le 25 ) et là j'essaye de l'installer mais sa me donne tout le temps le code d'erreur numero 1722 et je veux juste savoir si quelqu'un a trouver une solution au problème et bien me l'expliquer parce que j'avais vraiment hate d'Essayer le jeu et sa me fache vraiment.

T'es chanceux :P mais là j'essaye sur mon autre ordi et ça marche ! Mais je sais que l'ordi sera trop lente pour jouer comme il faut et que mon portable serait bien plus approprié pour jouer a un jeu qui a l'air si bon ^^ mais bon vous avez idée de ce qui manquerait sur mon portable pour faire installer le jeu ?

C'est correcte, il me manquait juste direct x -_- je peux jouer maintenant et j'ai une console mais mon portable est plus portatif que mon 360 ^^

Bon je up ce topic car j ai le meme souci que cité plus haut...

J ai acheté le jeu y a 2 jours, je l ai installé chez un pote qui a vista et joué sans aucun problemes. Je rentre chez moi et impossible de l installer a cause de cette putain d erreur 1722 :/
J ai XP avec SP3 et tout est a jour dans mon PC (direct X, CG, framework etc...). Le probleme arrive au tout debut de l instal, et pas a la fin donc pas possible d appliquer la technique d etteindre le PC en laissant le msg d erreur...une solution svp ?

SIGNIFICATION : 1722 Le serveur RPC n'est pas disponible.

Cliquer sur Démarrer / Exécuter puis saisir :

Services.msc

• Dans la liste de droite, chercher "Appel de procédure distante (RPC)"
• Cliquer dessus avec le bouton droit puis choisir "Propriétés"
• Aller dans l'onglet "Récupération", puis séquentiellement dans Première Défaillance, Deuxième Défaillance, etc et choisir "Redémarrer Le Service"
• Valider le changement par OK

• Dans la liste de droite, chercher "Lanceur de processus serveur DCOM" *type de démarrage "automatique"
• cliquer sur démarrer

Sur Borderlands, si votre jeu s'installe et qu'il refuse de se lancer suite à ce message (General protection fault!

History : GThread::OnExit()Address=0xaab2ea (filename not found) [in C:\Program Files\2K Games\Gearbox Software\Borderlands\Binaries\Borderlands.exe])ou que vous vous heurtez à une erreur 1722, tout nest pas perdu.

J'ai cherché pendant 15 jours mais maintenant ça fonctionne, alors essayez ceci :

Solution :

télécharger le logiciel "REVO" avec qui vous désinstallez le jeu. Avantage, il permet de scanner le PC en fin de désinstallation, et vous met en gras le ou les dossiers à sélectionner pour que la base de registre soit purgée.

Ensuite, mettre à jour le PhysiX. Normalement, si PhysiX est déjà installé, il va le désinstaller. Le réinstaller, puis lancer l'installation du jeu. Si l'erreur 1722 apparaît, cliquer sur "OK", puis relancer l'installation. Ensuite, faites vous plaisir!

Ca m'est arrivé aussi, ma solution (trouvée par hasard, je le jure...) a été d'éteindre l'ordi brutalement (enlever la batterie et prise alim pour un portable ou ouvrir l'interrupteur pour un fixe), quand il m'affichait ce message d'érreur, je pouvais quand même lancer le jeu et jouer, mais le message restait, en éteignant l'ordi, le jeu est resté installé mais le message d'erreur est parti, donc ça marche...

Solutions:

Sometimes all you need to do is re-register the windows installer service and everything is fixed. So you might want to try this step first before proceeding to the ultimate solution of the problem.

* Click on the start menu and click on “Run” (XP), or the start search box for Vista and type in “Msiexec /unregister“
* Do the same thing with this command “Msiexec /regserver“

If the solution above did not resolve your problem then you can go ahead and install the latest and stable version of windows installer. Follow steps below.

* Download the latest Windows installer 4.5 from the Microsoft’s website.
* Follow the instructions and download and install the windows installer file according to your system requirements.
* To install windows installer just double click on the downloaded file.
* Once installation is finished, restart your computer.
* After the restart make sure the windows installer service is running. Just go to the start menu and click on “Run” for XP and type in “services.msc” For Vista just use the “start search” box and type in “services.msc“. When you are in the services window look for the windows installer service and make sure that it is started. If not then make sure that the startup type is set to “Automatic” and start the service.
* After doing all the steps, continue installing/uninstalling your software. It should work by now.

Solution #1 :
After the installation is “complete” and the message shows that says “error 1722? and so on, turn of your computer by unplugging it or hold the button down and DO NOT press OK!

Solution #2:

Elevate a command prompt by right-clicking the Command Prompt in Start:All Programs:Accessories and selecting Run as administrator…

From the command prompt, run regedit.exe

If you have a 32-bit system, navigate to
