Sega´s Dreamcast console may be finished as a force in gaming, but according to an industry source the machine is now in demand by hackers.

The Black Hat Briefings, a conference for hackers which took place in Las Vegas earlier this month, hosted a demo of how to hack into corporate networks, according to trade mag MCV.

Hackers Aaron Higbee and Chris Davis say they can access a spare network socket by running custom-made Linux-based software on a Dreamcast. From there, says the report, they´re able to look for a hole in the company´s firewall protection system, thus allowing them access to the network from the intruder´s home PC.

l´article dit que beaucoup de pirates informatique s´interessent de prêt à la Dreamcast car elle permet (grâce à une version speciale Dreamcast de Linux) de pirater plus facilement des réseau informatiques (firewall...etc).

il y a kelkes mois , LINUX DC etait
assez facileùent telechargeable et gravable sur le net . ex : www.dcemulation.fr.st

un site ki a fermé proposait une version
de LINUX DC qui fonctionnait pas mal .....
