Faut faire attention avec ce que peuvent dire les types de Famitsu. Ils ont tendance à s'extasier pour à peu près tout et rien.

Voilà une illustration du cycle de développement d'un jeu chez SE. Le développement de Versus n'a pas commencé en 2006, il s'agissait d'une simple illustration, présentant la FNC, pour rappel.
Les précisions de chaque petite section :
"Conception
-Six months spent looking into the key features of the product and creating a prototype.
Vertical Slice
-Six months spent making a 15 minute gameplay build at 70% quality.
Pre-Production

Cela correspond en fait plus ou moins à ce qui a été fait pour le jeu. Bref, 16 mois ont été dédiés, de la conception à la pré-production. Admettons que pour versus, on ait eu 18 mois à deux ans. Maintenant, reste à savoir combien de temps prendra la production à proprement parlée.
