What started out as a rough around the edges series has returned in its second season to show a more refined and complete package that stays fresh long after you take off the plastic wrapping.

GRAPHICS: 8.1
The presentation value is clearly where the bulk of development time was spent. The camera angle could still use some work, but the close-ups that it delivers are welcome and help add to the excitement.

AUDIO: 8.0
EA Trax is at it yet again, delivering their usual collection of alt-rock tunes whether you love it or hate it it’s here. The commentary is very functional and the crowd noise is as raucous as it should be.

LONGEVITY: 8.0
The collection of leagues and teams will have rugby fans going nuts for months but it could have used some action on Xbox Live to really preserve the life of the game.

NEXT-GEN: 8.2
It’s a rugby game so the level of innovation is constrained a bit but EA Sports still did a great job of adding features to help flesh out the rest of the game.

OVERALL: 8.4
