Mateja Kezman needs surgery

Mateja Kezman had been looking to forward to meeting former club PSV twice in the Champions League group stage, but the Serbian striker, who was not available for the first leg in Eindhoven, will also miss the return leg in Istanbul, after it was announced he will have to undergo knee surgery.
Kezman, who still suffers from meniscus damage he sustained during his spell with Atlético Madrid, will go to Qatar to consult the Serbian specialist who will conduct the operation.
The former PSV striker announced in an interview with Turkish television that he does not feel happy at Fenerbahçe SK and considers a move to another club during the January transfer window. Kezza has scored one goal in six matches this season so far. PSV will meet Fenerbahçe in Istanbul on Wednesday 7 November. The home side will not only be without Kezman through injury; forward Deivid and defender Lugano are both ruled out of Wednesday’s game through suspension.
