Gennaro Gattuso, Milan´s midfield enforcer, is probably as close as you will come to finding a similar player to Roy Keane.

Tenacious, box-to-box, full of energy and and a ferocious tackler, Gattuso has many of the qualities Keane had in his United hey-day. His leadership and demand on other players may not reach that of Keano´s - undoubtedly that was one of his greatest assets - but Gattuso is an impressive midfielder nonetheless.

Which is probably why the tabloids have taken to linking him with a move to United.

The papers have repeatedly linked a handful of players with a move to United - which we´ve dubbed the usual suspects - and we want your views on the latest in our series on transfer rumours.

The Sun linked United with a move for the Milan ace on 4 May, and back in March the Daily Mirror claimed the Reds were tracking his progress.

Back on 19 January, the Daily Mirror had claimed United were on the brink of signing the player, saying: "Chief executive David Gill has been spotted in Milan several times in recent weeks, increasing the belief that a formal move for the player is now likely."

A move for Gattuso remains to be seen, but we want your views on whether he would be a good purchase. Is he the midfield man to replace Keano? Or is this another yarn being spun by the tabloids?
