La preuve que je suis le véritable franck

Le Surréalisme, né après la première Guerre Mondiale, est caractérisé par son opposition à toutes conventions sociales, logiques et morales. C´est un mouvement qui prime le rêve, l´instinct, le désir et la révolte. Autant littéraire qu´artistique, il provient du Dadaïsme. Certains artistes importants du Surréalisme proviennent de ce premier courant, par exemple: Max Ernst, Man Ray et Hans Arp. Tout comme le Dadaïsme, le Surréalisme est marqué par ses écrivains. En 1924, André Breton écrit le "Manifeste du Surréalisme". Il était surtout désireux de garder la pureté originale du mouvement, malgré le fait que les artistes n´auront que d´étroits liens tout au long de l´existence de celui-ci. La cohésion du groupe a surtout été marquée par les nombreuses expositions à Paris. Malgré cette visibilité mondiale importante au sein des expositions parisiennes, la deuxième Guerre Mondiale amène les artistes à New York, où le mouvement fait quelques adeptes. De retour après la guerre en 1945, le groupe fait quelques expositions mais se dissoue quelques années plus tard en 1959. Il faut comprendre que les liens entre les surréalistes ont toujours été étroits depuis 1929 et ne tenaient qu´à un fil. C´est à partir de cette année là que chacun tentait de s´affirmer indépendamment du groupe, venant à l´encontre du but premier d´André Breton.
