Rafael Benitez has told Djibril Cisse to ignore the newspapers as he continues to be linked with a possible move away from Anfield.
French outfit Marseilles are the latest club to be interested in the Liverpool striker as speculation reaches fever pitch ahead of next week´s transfer deadline.
Cisse has been keen to seek assurances over his Anfield future, but for now Benitez has just told him to concentrate on scoring goals and close his ears to the rumours.
"I have told him to forget about the press and think about the game," said the Liverpool boss. "He said he had been reading a lot of rumours in the press, but I told him we haven´t had any offers.
"Maybe it affected him on Saturday but this month is always difficult for some players. If he scores he will forget about it.
"If clubs wanted to do anything at the moment, I would have to talk with Rick Parry."
Asked if a loan move could be a possibility, Benitez replied: "I would need to talk with Rick but at this moment we have two important games and I want to think about these games, not the market."
