Monaco look to have conceded defeat in the race to sign Milan Baros, with the club apparently switching their attention to Vagner Love.
Baros looks increasingly likely to complete a move to Aston Villa, and Monaco are ready to look elsewhere.
The primary target now appears to be Love, who had an outstanding season for CSKA Moscow last term.
The Russian side are believed to want in the region of €7 million ( £4.8m) for the Brazilian, who is believed to be favourable to a move into French football.
The Principality club´s boss Didier Deschamps is likely to be disappointed to miss out on Baros, but has not yet revealed his opinion on Love.
