A l'image de nombreux studios et éditeurs, les équipes de 2K20 affichent leur soutien à la lutte contre le racisme et les violences policières.

NBA 2K20 : Des t-shirts Black Lives Matter offerts dans le jeu

Tout comme Red Dead Redemption II et Grand Theft Auto V , NBA 2K20 a mis en pause ses serveurs le temps de quelques heures pour honorer la mémoire de George Floyd. En soutien au mouvement Black Lives Matter, le titre propose également dans la boutique de son jeu trois modèles de t-shirts portant les inscriptions "Black Lives Matter" ou encore "I Can't Breathe" ("Je ne peux pas respirer") et "Say Their Names" ("Dites leurs noms"). Relayées par Kotaku , plusieurs images illustrent des dizaines de joueurs arborant les articles et entourés de posters BLM. Les deux visuels partagés ci-dessous ont été capturés par les utilisateurs Twitter FlyWithoutWings et Zirinic .
