Jean Grey Update
Options, Options, Options!
Jean has been outfitted with our new Specialization tech, granting her three distinct build options, found to the right of Dark Phoenix.
Dark Phoenix now has specializations! These specializations offer build choices that improve the builds currently available for players - Jean-only, Phoenix-only, and a Hybrid third specialization option that swaps between the two frequently.
Additionally, we’ve opened up the number of spirit spenders available to Jean by making Psychic Hammer cost spirit in exchange for more damage. This positions Psychic Hammer, Phoenix Drain, and Telekinetic Throw all as viable options with their own benefits.
Psychic Hammer - Now costs 12 spirit per activation. While not in Phoenix form, the projectile pierces enemies rather than having a smaller splash radius. Additional affixes for the power are enabled through the Jean or Phoenix specializations.
Phoenix Drain - Bonus damage to enemies affected by certain powers is now a Phoenix-only specialization affix. Jean specialization grants an increase to Phoenix Force gained while channeling.
Telekinetic Throw - Now seeks out targets while not in Phoenix form rather than piercing, showcasing her ability to move objects around with her mind, not just propelling them. The hit radius of the projectile has been increased, with the Phoenix version being increased further. Bonus damage to bosses removed in favor of two new affixes, enabled through the Jean or Phoenix specializations.
Mechanical Improvements
We’ve manipulated some of Jean’s layer mechanics (DoT’s and Cooldowns) in order to provide a better spread across all builds, while ensuring that Jean-only or Phoenix-only players have a solid rotation that is competitive in DPS. These layer mechanics also tie into her specialization choices.
Psychokinetic Implosion - Jean version now applies a damage-over-time effect. Phoenix version now has a 10s cooldown and much higher damage output. This benefit is amplified in the Phoenix-only specialization.
Mind Crush - Jean version now has a 10s and much higher damage output and deals bonus damage vs vulnerable targets. This benefit is amplified while in the Jean-only specialization. Mind Crush’s passive benefits have been migrated into her new specializations.
Kinetic Wave - Jean version is now a forward cone blast rather than an AoE, and is considered a Ranged attack. Phoenix version can now apply a damage-over-time effect if the Phoenix-only specialization is selected.
Neural Panic - Damage over time component removed in favor of a cooldown and more front-loaded damage, giving Jean some more reliable burst damage when needed.
Phoenix Inferno - This power is now a ground-targeted AoE hotspot rather than a damage aura toggle. The defensive bonuses on this power have been removed and replaced with new bonuses on Unleash Phoenix.
More Power Improvements
Crushing Telekinesis - Jean is now invulnerable during the cast animation. The knockup animation has been improved to look a little more realistic.
Kinetic Bolt - Jean version now bounces between enemies hit rather than piercing. Phoenix version now fires 3 projectiles in a small cone. Projectile width increased, visuals improved.
Kinetic Wave - Weaken effect flattened in duration to 10s
Dark Phoenix - Dark Phoenix Charge should no longer hitch while using the power, and the overall speed of Dark Phoenix Charge has been greatly increased. In Jean form, the Mental damage bonus has been doubled.
Power Consolidation - Saving Power Points
Jean had a few too many passive effects in her kit fighting for points and were a bit confusing to understand at a glance.
We’ve integrated Phoenix Corona, and removed her auras, in order to make her passive bonuses easier to comprehend and invest points in.
Unleash Phoenix has gained the damage negation and other affixes from Phoenix Corona. Phoenix Corona has been removed from Jean’s kit.
Telepathic Detection - Damage Rating from Unleash Phoenix moved to Telepathic Detection.
The new Specializations have taken over the role of providing a Team Buff for Jean Grey, and as such, her former Aura toggled powers have been removed.

?? Pourri?
Elle est bien mieux qu'avant, et avec la review de ses uniques qui devrait suivre elle va dépoté.
Jean Grey
By popular demand, Dark Phoenix Form has been changed to affect every power, and not swap out the power bar. This makes point investments and itemization important for Phoenix players at all times during their rotation.
•Dark Phoenix (Phoenix Form) no longer swaps out Jean's power bar on activation, but rather enhances most powers to have extra effects. Additionally, the power now spends all Phoenix Force, allowing the resource to be reacquired while the buff is active.
Neural Panic needed a more defined space in Jean's kit, so we've altered it to be a reliable, potent crowd control effect.
•Neural Panic's effect is now unresistable, which makes it incredibly potent against bosses. This requires it to have a moderate cooldown. The damage component has been removed.
Phoenix had a bit of power bar space crunch from last week’s update. Mind Crush's additional effect made this power too mandatory in her rotations, and was the least impactful in terms of point value, so it was the best candidate to swap out.
•Mind Crush (Phoenix Form) no longer provides vulnerability to Phoenix powers.
The players venturing into the Hybrid specialization noted some issues with the split damage types, so we've combined them into one buff, and offered a defensive benefit as well.
•Powerful Harmony now provides all types of Damage Rating when Dark Phoenix is activated in Jean mode, and some extra health per second when activated in Phoenix Form.
HELP !!!
